Another solid outing. Despite Jordan’s bounty I made the money ending up 3rd. Drewspop and I would have tied in the challenge in 2nd if I finished 2nd, but it was not to be when my AT ran into AQ. One lucky hand when I woke up with QQ in the small blind and got re-raised from the UTG limper. I pushed, he called. Aces. Ooops. Flop comes KQK and I am a luck bastard.

I cashed again finishing 5th. I played pretty solid with no big hands to talk about. I think this puts me into 4th solo with a chance at getting 2nd or 3rd with a big finish in my last SnG. That will have to be tonight sometime.

Fucker called my 4x raise with J7o, then called my pot sized all-in with a gut shot and one over card!?!?!?! This same guy was up to 5K at one point and had bled it down to 1700. Sick. Just sick. Now I have two tries to launch back into the top 4 of the challenge. With drewspop’s 2nd last night and highonpoker’s run this is going to be a rough one.

I trippled up the first hand with 99 against two people with QJ on a J94 board. I think I played very well and got luck when I needed to get lucky. Including trippling up at the final table with a rivered straight against two people with 2 pair.
I am also cash positive for this challenge. Which is pretty cool.
Not so good this time. 23rd. I was just card dead and I stayed out of the way for awhile. But the blinds got up to 75/150 and with 1100 or so I needed to act. Oh well. 4 more to go in the challenge.
Made a good run today finishing 2nd (only lost to a 3 outer A7s to A5o when a 5 hit on the flop which crippled me). Good for 8 points to put me in 8th place currently. Not bad.
Drewspop was able to rail me at the end. Got to love this brogger community.
The results are in. I don’t totally suck. Ended up 4th. The chip leader when we hit final table had a 5 or 6 times lead on everyone else and he played the big stack pretty well. He did end up 3rd though.
6 more of these to go by next Tuesday (I think). Should not be a problem. If I make a run, I might make it close to the money- but we have some strong contenders so I don’t bet on it.
Also made a little at the $25 NL tables on Stars tonight. All in all, a positive evening.
Shitty results. Again. 25th. I was short (730 with 50/100 blinds) and pushed with A9 of spades. I was quick called by someone with 2330. He had Q6 of diamonds. I don’t think I am a bad spot until two diamonds hit the flop and a third on the turn and good night.
I will be out of town this week, unfortunatly not in Vegas for the Main Event. I will be in Georgia. Think “Deliverance”. Yeah.
Not sure how much poker I will be playing. Made my way to the $20 level this weekend. Screwed up a chip lead when the blinds got big and busted 5th. Irritating. Finished 3rd in a $10. I’m going to try and play a few SnGs on the folks computer. Probably can not spend the time playing a 45 SnG unless it is late at night.
I am bringing plenty of reading material, my iPod Nano, and my golf clubs. Hopefully I can keep busy.
It will be nice to see the folks again. My brother will be there as well with his wife and twins. I am looking forward to that.
